This still life painting shows a single singed oak leaf, collected from Big Santa Anita Canyon after the Bobcat fire. It is one of series of paintings I did after the fire to help me adjust to the transformation of the forest.
I composed the painting to fit this particular beveled wood frame, which has a natural finish and glass. The painting is sold framed. The frame has an easel back to sit on a table, or it can be hung.
