From a shady viewpoint, trees and rocks are silhouetted against the glittering morning light. Here the canyon bottom is wide and flat. The stream wends its way through a tangled web of scrubby vegetation and shifting landscape of sand, gravel, and boulders.
This painting is done over an earlier work, which provides a serendipitous underlayment of color and texture.
