This work shows the ruin of Cabin 5 in Big Santa Anita Canyon (Angeles National Forest, CA). On a bright late winter day, the sun lights up the stone foundation and chimney and glints across the grass.
Note that this work is on a hand-cut and gessoed 1/4″ wood panel (salvaged from our cabin). It is exactly 12″ x 9″, which means it may be a tight fit in a pre-manufactured frame.
