The Brand Central Library is part of the historic Miradero estate, built in 1904. The original parts of the building with its Moorish towers, repeating arches and minarets contrast with a more modern addition. I like the vantage point of looking up towards the building across the rolling green lawn, with the rugged Verdugo Mountains beyond. It is fascinating to observe the varying colors I see in the “white” walls.
